Sentinel Sutures A Healthcare Merger With Consulting Services

The customer was heavily invested in the cloud, with Backup as a Service, Disaster Recovery as a Service, Security as a Service, and Cisco Communications through Sentinel’s CloudSelectTM platform. Sentinel was also providing the customer with Managed Services, HANSTM, Staffing Services, Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) Services, as well as hosted email with Microsoft Exchange.
The customer was merging with another organization, and wanted to ensure the transition was as seamless as possible. They asked for Sentinel’s help to gain a better understanding of the two different environments and anticipate any issues that might emerge throughout the integration process.
Sentinel’s Consulting Services team conducted a series of assessments across the two merging environments to learn more about each of them, identify any risks or dependencies, and recommend best practices for a smooth integration. This included a security assessment, network assessment, data center assessment, and application assessment. Once the assessments had been completed, Sentinel worked closely with the customer to create a detailed, multi-year strategy and roadmap to blend their IT environments together in a straightforward and efficient way.
The customer felt comfortable and had peace of mind when they began the process of integrating the new organization into their IT environment. They closely followed the plans developed with Sentinel, making minor adjustments as needed to ensure an easy transition for everyone involved. There were no major issues, and the customer told Sentinel they were very happy with the results. Additional projects are in the planning stages, as the partnership between Sentinel and the customer continues to grow.
