The customer recently completed a refresh of their network and related infrastructure elements in coordination with Sentinel. This included new firewalls, switches, and access points from Cisco Meraki.

The Sentinel team was unable to perform an on-site survey due to access restrictions, so they used maps and building material information to design a solution. Sentinel provided Cisco Meraki access points and switches for the business suites and the racetrack in general. This included a Meraki firewall to help keep the site and users secure. The customer also purchased and installed some Meraki cameras through Sentinel to keep a close eye on certain areas of the property. In order to protect the outdoor access points, Sentinel recommended a third party vendor to the customer that manufactures special boxes that shield against extreme heat and other weather conditions.

The new racetrack has the IT infrastructure needed to provide guests and employees with strong network connections to communicate, conduct business, and access essential information. The customer even ordered additional access points to further enhance connectivity for race days with particularly large crowds. They were very happy with how the project turned out, and have expanded their relationship with Sentinel as a result. Sentinel now regularly consults and provides design input for any technology initiatives they are looking to explore.
