Insurance Company Adopts Intune to Improve Security Policies

The customer is one of the largest privately owned, partner-led insurance agencies in North America, offering value-driven guidance in Business Insurance, Employee Benefits, Personal Insurance, and Risk Solutions for more than 40 years. They focus on delivering customized insurance solutions for organizations of all types and sizes.

Environment

Between three office locations and a number of remote employees, the growing complexity of the customer’s hybrid environment of Windows devices had become difficult to manage.  Their IT team struggled to maintain consistent security policies, software updates, and compliance across endpoints.

Challenge

The customer’s legacy device management tools lacked the agility and integration needed for modern workplace demands. Manual configurations, inconsistent policy enforcement, and limited visibility into device health created operational inefficiencies and security risks. They were looking for a scalable, cloud-focused solution that could unify endpoint management while reducing administrative overhead.

Solution

Sentinel recommended that the customer adopt Microsoft Intune, which would enable them to leverage its cloud-native capabilities to centralize device management and policy enforcement. Through integration with Microsoft Entra and Microsoft Endpoint Manager, the Sentinel team deployed standardized configurations, automated software updates, and enforced compliance policies across all of the customer’s devices. Conditional access and remote wipe features enhanced security for remote workers, while streamlined onboarding improved the user experience. 

Results

Following Sentinel’s deployment of Microsoft Intune, the customer has experienced a significant reduction in support tickets, improved compliance posture, and a more agile IT operation. Remote and in-office employees are better supported with consistent, secure access to corporate resources, while internal IT teams enjoy improved visibility and control over policy enforcement and device health. The organization is now able to adapt quickly to workplace changes while maintaining strong security and compliance standards.
