A nationwide provider of nurse-led home care and medical staffing services, the customer offers a continuum of support for individuals of all ages through hundreds of locations. Founded more than two decades ago with a mission to deliver compassionate, high-quality care, they combine registered nurse oversight, in-home care services, and healthcare staffing solutions to help improve health outcomes and quality of life.

The customer maintained a Microsoft Azure cloud environment to support their critical business applications and services. They also relied on aging virtual network infrastructure elements that lacked the heightened security and connectivity requirements for a healthcare organization.

Sentinel initially assessed the customer’s existing Azure environment and developed a networking strategy in alignment with Microsoft’s best practices. The engagement included the design and deployment of Azure NAT Gateways, Azure Private Link Endpoints, and supporting network routing updates to improve connectivity and security. Sentinel validated connectivity through testing and coordinated migration activities to minimize risk during implementation. To support long-term success, Sentinel provided documentation, knowledge transfer, and advisory sessions focused on Azure operations, optimization, and cost management best practices. 

Sentinel’s engagement successfully modernized the customer’s Azure networking environment, improving both security and connectivity in preparation for future Azure platform requirements. The new architecture better protected access to Azure resources, improved network management, and created greater operational efficiency. Guidance and knowledge transfer from Sentinel equipped the customer’s IT team to support and optimize their environment as business needs continue to evolve.
