The customer is a national organization that helps more than 80 community health centers improve care through technology, data, innovation, and partnerships. Their mission is to advance personal and public health through collaborative solutions.

The customer operated a combination of Windows and Linux servers supporting healthcare applications, analytics platforms, and other business-critical services. The environment included 18 on-premises servers hosted within a colocation facility and supported workloads that required strong security, operational visibility, and long-term scalability.

Sentinel worked closely with the customer to assess their existing environment and develop a migration strategy aligned with Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework. A customized Azure Landing Zone was designed to provide governance, security, and scalability from day one. Using Azure Migrate, Sentinel successfully migrated all targeted Windows and Linux workloads to Azure. The team deployed new virtual networks, redesigned IP addressing, implemented Palo Alto VM-Series firewalls, and integrated Azure-native monitoring and security controls. Sentinel also secured Microsoft funding to help offset the customer’s migration costs and provided documentation and knowledge transfer to support long-term success.

The healthcare customer successfully migrated all targeted workloads to Azure before the colocation agreement expired, avoiding any disruption to critical services. They now operate within a secure and scalable cloud environment that supports healthcare and analytics workloads while improving governance, security, monitoring, and disaster recovery capabilities.
