Equipment Company Constructs a Merger with the Help of Sentinel


Environment

The customer has a large, complex environment, primarily comprised of Microsoft solutions including M365 and Entra for their Active Directory instances. 

Challenge

The customer acquired another organization, which was located in another state. Essential technology resources, systems, and around 1,000 employees as part of this acquisition needed to be consolidated into the customer’s primary network and environment. The customer requested Sentinel’s help to ensure a smooth transition.

Solution

Sentinel assisted with the migration of the newly acquired organization’s M365 tenants into the customer’s main M365 tenant. Sentinel’s on-site resources also worked with the employees at the field locations located in cities and remote sites to ensure they had full support and any necessary training during the transition process. Once the M365 migration had been completed, Sentinel facilitated the joining of the workstations in all locations to the Microsoft Entra cloud services, which bypassed an Active Directory domain consolidation to save the customer a significant amount of time, money, and effort.

Results

Careful planning, expert guidance, and employee training were the primary factors that made this project a success. The assistance provided by the Sentinel team enabled the newly acquired organization to be amalgamated into the customer’s environment without significant complication. The training and support given to the added users enabled them to adapt quickly with minimal disruption in productivity.
