The customer maintained a strong IT environment, which included the latest infrastructure innovations for cloud, collaboration, and security to ensure employees had the tools to produce high quality work with an emphasis on productivity and protection. ISO (International Organization for Standardization) certifications in safety, quality, and environmental management helped establish the customer as a leader in workplace safety standards. 

A collaborative knowledge transfer program was developed that paired Sentinel data scientists directly with the customer's experts. This hands-on approach focused on teaching the practical application of machine learning while leveraging the customer's deep industry expertise and historical safety data.

The program included implementation of multiple machine learning approaches:

• Linear regression models for baseline prediction and trend analysis
• Random forest algorithms for complex pattern recognition
• Deep learning networks for advanced feature detection

Sentinel trained the customer’s team with an emphasis on:

• Data preparation and analysis techniques
• Model selection and implementation strategies
• Methods for evaluating and improving model accuracy
• Techniques for translating model insights into actionable safety improvements

Thanks to Sentinel’s training, the customer successfully developed capabilities to leverage AI technology for internal safety improvements. Their team gained the skills to:

• Apply machine learning techniques to proactively identify and predict safety risks
• Select and implement appropriate models for different types of safety analysis
• Evaluate new datasets for AI readiness
• Apply these newly acquired skills to other aspects of their operations

The investment in internal AI capabilities enabled the customer to continue advancing their data-driven decision making. They now feel confident independently evolving their safety systems as new challenges and technologies emerge.
