The customer is a primary supplier of heavy-duty machinery for construction projects in Arizona, Nevada, and California. They have been in business for more than 75 years with a staff of over 4,000 employees.

The customer experienced strong growth in recent years, and acquisitions of other companies created complications for their network and environment given the diversity of IT solutions being used at the different offices. They were largely unified through Microsoft solutions, including M365 and Entra.

Sentinel worked closely with the customer to deploy Microsoft Intune Cloud PKI (public key infrastructure) to handle network identity and access across all locations and environments. Intune Cloud PKI issued certificates to all Intune-managed devices that supported 802.1x certificate authentication for users. This enabled seamless roaming and strong authentication no matter where employees were located or what device they were using.

The Microsoft Intune Cloud PKI solution made mature network access security more accessible for the customer. It managed to avoid the complexity, security risks, and higher costs associated with other types of PKI deployment. Microsoft Intune Cloud PKI delivered robust security and enhanced productivity for the customer’s employees and devices.

This solution aligned perfectly with the customer’s network segmentation needs as part of maintaining a Zero Trust architecture, proving Intune Cloud PKI can be implemented in all sorts of complex, multi-vendor environments for a more optimized and modern security strategy.
