The customer’s data center and infrastructure were primarily comprised of Cisco and Dell EMC hardware and software. This included best-in-breed security solutions to ensure the highest degree of protection for customer data, as well as servers and critical desktop components.
Challenge
Having just completed a major data center relocation/colocation project, the customer wanted to shift their focus onto core business and application development. Since a majority of their time and budget was devoted to the management and support of their primary infrastructure elements (network, servers, security, etc.), they asked Sentinel to help.
Solution
Sentinel began providing Managed Services for the customer’s entire environment, which included their network, systems, and security. The considerable size of the organization and their extensive technology infrastructure required additional personnel to properly navigate and maintain, so a portion of the customer’s IT staff was also absorbed into the Sentinel team.
Results
With Sentinel’s Managed Services in place, the customer experienced a significant improvement in response and recovery times when dealing with technology issues while reducing overall costs. Sentinel integrated its ticketing system with theirs to speed up notifications and make it easier to use overall. The customer’s application and development group is now able to focus exclusively on new business rather than maintaining day-to-day operations. Sentinel has become the customer’s IT strategic partner, and holds quarterly quality assurance meetings to ensure their needs are being met and recommend new solutions along with ways to consolidate their technology and increase overall efficiency.
