Founded in 1982, Sentinel began operations as a 10-person mainframe service company serving the Chicago area. Since then, Sentinel’s evolution as a company has paralleled the fast-paced information technology industry.
In the later 1980s, as client/server technology advanced, Sentinel expanded service offerings to include PC support and Local Area Network configuration and deployment.
By the early 1990s, Sentinel was providing leading network integration and custom application development services. Sentinel also expanded its nationwide service capabilities throughout this time to meet the needs of a growing customer base.
As the end of the century approached, Sentinel gained strength in emerging technologies such as Enterprise Messaging, Web Development, and Application Integration. Sentinel also maintained strength in supporting customer's existing investments with remote support services and security services. Today, Sentinel is once again ready to provide today's leading business technology services, as well as emerging technologies such as IP Telephony, Wireless Networking, Storage Area Networks and CRM. While the technology soothsayers continue to debate what the future of information technology holds for us all, Sentinel remains poised to adapt to the needs of its customers as it has for over 20 years.

Customers have the option of various service programs; resident on-site support, fixed fee or hourly rates.
