Why it's a Best Place to Work: The office is fairly Spartan, with not a pool table to be found. The most recent holiday party was held in the break room. Yet the same management team has been in place for nearly 25 years. Company founder, President and CEO Dennis Hoelzer takes a different path to workers' hearts: through their wallets. "Income. That's the No. 1 thing that floats our boats," he says. "We have a wonderful environment, very collegial, and that's important, but we have to be successful, we have to be profitable and we have to compensate our people”.
