Sentinel Sponsors 2nd Annual US Empowered Graduation Gala
Sentinel was a proud sponsor of the 2nd Annual US Empowered Graduation Gala.
The event was held at the University Club in Chicago on May 5th.
US Empowered works to empower highly effective teachers to guide underperforming students in
low-income schools to successfully enroll in and graduate from four-year colleges.
In order to fulfill this mission, US Empowered teachers (Program Directors) lead a three-year
program that consists of a daily course, experiential conferences, and a system of online support
that collectively increases student achievement and ensures that Fellows enroll in and graduate
from four-year colleges. Their alumni, equipped with a system of best practices and collaborative
networks of support, become college graduates and generational leaders advocating for higher
education opportunities for all. One day, every student in urban America will have the ability to
enroll in and graduate from a four-year college. They have seen what it takes to empower a
student.
